Family office & cross-border wealth

Wealth is a responsibility before it is a number.

Family office design, cross-border structuring and governance for families whose balance sheet has outgrown a single jurisdiction — and whose next generation deserves a clearer inheritance than a folder of entities.

Multi-generational mandates across Europe, the United Kingdom and Asia.

We advise. We do not sell products or manage money.

The practice

The family office, reimagined for the next generation.

Most family offices are built around a single founder, a single tax residency and a single bank relationship. Then the founder dies, the children disperse across three countries, and the structure that worked for thirty years becomes an expensive puzzle.

We design for the second and third generation from the outset: clear governance, a documented investment policy, transparent consolidated reporting, and a jurisdiction map that anticipates residence, reporting and succession rather than reacting to them.

We do not sell financial products, manage discretionary portfolios or receive commission from providers. Our only interest is the coherence of the structure.

Discuss a family structure

Four pillars

A structure is only as strong as its governance.

Every family office mandate is built on four connected workstreams. None is delegated to a generic template.

01

Governance

A family constitution, a decision charter and a board that can act when the principal cannot. Written to be read, not filed.

02

Jurisdiction

Trusts, foundations and holding companies mapped against residence, reporting and treaty exposure — with a documented rationale for each.

03

Succession

A rehearsed transfer of control: who inherits what, who decides, and how the family resolves disagreement before it becomes litigation.

04

Reporting

One consolidated view of assets, entities, liabilities and obligations — quarterly, auditable and intelligible to a non-specialist.

Structures we advise on

The right structure is the one you can explain.

We coordinate with your counsel, auditors and trustees — or introduce independent specialists where a second opinion is warranted. We never receive referral fees.

  • Discretionary trustsJersey, Guernsey, Liechtenstein and Singapore trustees, with independent oversight.
  • Swiss foundationsFamilienstiftungen for dynastic control, with clear beneficiary and governance rules.
  • Cross-border holding companiesOperating and investment holdings aligned to substance, tax and treaty requirements.
  • Family constitutionsThe written agreement that sits above the legal documents and prevents drift.
  • Investment policy statementsRisk, liquidity and mandate parameters that trustees can actually apply.
  • Next-generation educationStructured briefings on stewardship, governance and the responsibilities of ownership.
  • Philanthropy & impactGiving vehicles, grant-making policy and the governance of a family foundation.
  • Asset protectionSeparation of operating risk from family capital, without opaque or abusive arrangements.

How we work

A twelve-month structure, not a twelve-page memo.

Family office work is measured in generations, but it must be delivered in months. This is the sequence.

  1. 01

    Diagnose

A confidential review of the family, the assets, the entities and the points of friction. Two to three weeks, fixed fee.

  2. 02

    Design

A written structure with jurisdiction rationale, governance maps and an implementation plan. No commitment to implement with us.

  3. 03

    Implement

We coordinate counsel, trustees and administrators, hold the timetable, and report to the family principal.

  4. 04

    Steward

An annual review of governance, reporting and succession readiness — with the next generation in the room.

“They asked about our children before they asked about our assets. That is when we knew the advice would last.”
